All Canada Crypto.com Visa Cards will be issued with a randomly generated PIN.

Where is my PIN?

The current PIN on your Crypto.com Visa card can be viewed at any time via your Crypto.com App.

  1. Go to your Card page
  2. Tap the card icon (upper right hand corner)
  3. Tap View PIN
  4. Complete the identity verification

How do I set my own PIN?

The Crypto.com Visa card does not support PIN change at Canadian ATMs.

The PIN on your Crypto.com Visa card can only be changed via the Crypto.com App as follows:.

  1. Go to your Card page
  2. Tap the card icon (upper right hand corner)
  3. Tap Reset PIN
  4. Complete the identity verification
  5. Enter your new PIN
  6. Activate your new PIN (details below)

How to activate my new PIN?

After each PIN change via the Crypto.com App, a transaction must be made at a merchant terminal that requires a PIN input. This process is required in order to fully activate your new PIN.

  1. Make a transaction where your Crypto.com Visa card is inserted in the merchant terminal*
  2. Enter your new PIN**, which will update the chip on your Crypto.com Visa card. It is normal for the first attempt to result in a declined transaction. Start another transaction with your new PIN until it’s approved.

Once the merchant terminal transaction has been approved, all transactions onwards will be authorised and approved/declined as normal with your new PIN.

Note:

*If your 1st transaction is an ATM transaction, the ATM will only accept the new PIN. However, the new PIN will NOT be updated on the chip of the card. You will still be required to follow the 2 steps above to fully activate your new PIN on your Crypto.com Visa card.

*If your 1st transaction is at an international (non-Canada) location, the new PIN may not be updated on the chip of the card. You may still be required to follow the 2 steps above to fully activate your new PIN on your Crypto.com Visa card.

**For some merchant terminals, this may take up to 6 declined transaction attempts before your new PIN is fully activated. Alternatively, entering your old PIN on your first merchant terminal transaction attempt will update the chip on your Crypto.com Visa card as well as result in an approved transaction..
