How to activate my new PIN?

After each PIN change via the Crypto.com App, a transaction must be made that requires a PIN input. This process is required in order to fully activate your new PIN by following one of 3 ways.

1- By using an ATM

Once you have completed your new PIN request via the Crypto.com App, you can activate your new PIN by carrying out an ATM transaction (Balance Enquiry or Cash withdrawal). You must use your new PIN for this transaction. * Note local ATM fees may be applied.

2- Via a merchant POS terminal- if you remember your old PIN

2.1 Make a transaction where your Crypto.com card is inserted in the merchant terminal

2.2 Enter your old PIN, the transaction will be approved. This will update the chip on your Crypto.com card, your new PIN should now be fully activated. You should use your new PIN on subsequent transactions.

3- Via a merchant POS terminal- using your new PIN only

3.1 Make a transaction where your Crypto.com card is inserted in the merchant terminal*

3.2 Enter your new PIN**, which will update the chip on your Crypto.com card. It is normal to see a terminal response for ‘’incorrect PIN’’ the first attempt may result in a declined transaction. Start another transaction with your new PIN until it’s approved.

Once the merchant terminal transaction has been approved, all transactions onwards will be authorised and approved/declined as normal with your new PIN.

Note:

**For some merchant terminals, this may take up to 3 declined transaction attempts before your new PIN is fully activated.
