We launched the Buy Crypto feature, powered by the Crypto.com App, to provide you with an easy and convenient way to purchase all your favorite coins directly in DeFi Wallet.
Follow the simple steps below to make your first purchase:
Connect DeFi Wallet to your Crypto.com App account:
Select the Wallet for the coin you want to buy.
Connect the Wallet to your Crypto.com App account. Please be aware that each Wallet can only ever be connected to one Crypto.com App account.
Check whether you have linked the credit/debit card you wish to use for your purchase in the Crypto.com App. If not, go to the App and add the card.
Go to the ‘Buy’ tab from the bottom navigation bar to explore all the coins supported in your jurisdiction.
Select the coin you want to purchase in the Top Coins section or click the ‘Buy Now’ button
If the coin is supported on 2 or more networks, then you need to select the network you prefer (You will not see the Network Selection option if the coin is only supported on one network).
Enter the purchase amount and select the credit/debit card you want to use. Please be aware that the purchase limit is shared with your Crypto.com account.
You’ll have 15 seconds to review the details and confirm your purchase.
Enter your Crypto.com App account passcode. After that, you may need to complete 3DS verification, as required by your credit/debit card issuer.
All you need to do now is wait for your coins to arrive!
Please note that your purchase is an on-chain transaction, so the processing time may vary. The order status will be ‘Completed’ once you receive the coins. You can check your balance by going to the Wallet.

Why is the coin I want to purchase not available?
There are a few possible reasons.
If you cannot find the coin you want in the list:
We do not support the coin at the moment (but we are continually adding to the list, so be sure to check back later); or
The coin is not supported in your jurisdiction.
If you can find the coin but can’t initiate the purchase, then it could be for one of the following reasons:
The blockchain network is being upgraded;
On-chain transfer speeds are really slow at the moment;
The Crypto.com App is undergoing maintenance; or
Other issues (Please reach out to Customer Support if you have further questions)
Why can't I see the price and 24-hour price movement for some coins?
Currently, we only provide price information for coins that support the Buy Crypto feature function.
How do I change the fiat currency that I use to buy crypto?
If you find that your display currency is not supported for the Buy Crypto feature, or you just want to use another currency, go to ‘Settings’ and change the display currency. Please note that not all fiat currencies are currently supported.
Why did my order request fail?
Here are some possible reasons:
The price timed out. You have 15 seconds to confirm the purchase in DeFi Wallet. Please note that the time required to confirm the order also depends on your network connection, so it may vary by a few seconds.
Your order exceeded the purchase limit or was below the minimum amount. Please refer to the next question.
Your wallet address was flagged. Our system automatically detects and flags suspicious wallet addresses for various reasons.
Your payment card was rejected. Please check the credit/debit card you are using in the Crypto.com App if you believe this is the case.
If you still cannot figure out why the order failed, please reach out to our Customer Support team.
What determines my purchase limit?
Since the Buy Crypto feature in DeFi Wallet is provided by the Crypto.com App, your purchase limit will be shared with your App account. Currently, there are 3 types of purchase limits in the Crypto.com App:
Daily / Weekly / Monthly limit
The maximum purchase amount and the minimum purchase amount are calculated using the following formulas. Click here to view the specific limits of each token.
Maximum Purchase Amount =Min (Withdrawal limit remained, Buy maximum limit, D / W / M limit remained )
Minimum Purchase Amount =Max (Withdrawal minimum limit, Buy minimum limit)
Why is the status of my order incomplete?
Please note that the Buy Crypto process consists of 2 steps:
You purchase the coins in the Crypto.com App
The coins are transferred to your DeFi Wallet
In most cases, we will automatically transfer your coins from the Crypto.com App to DeFi Wallet App if step 1 is successful. However, if some risk factors are detected in step 2, then the transfer will fail, and the coins will remain in your Crypto.com App account. You can check your balance in your App account and reach out to our Customer Support team for the next steps.
How do I switch on / off order notifications?
Go to ‘Settings’ > ‘Notifications’ to enable or disable notifications. If you switch off notifications, you can still receive updates about your orders in your Crypto.com App email.
How do I calculate the total amount I have to pay for each purchase, including fees?
First, let’s break down the different amounts and fees that go into each purchase:
Receive Amount is the exact amount of crypto you will receive in your DeFi Wallet.
Transfer Fee is required to process the on-chain transaction from the Crypto.com App to DeFi Wallet. Click here to view transfer fees for specific coins.
Buy Amount ( Receive Amount + Transfer Fee) is the total amount you’re paying to the Crypto.com App.
Rate is the price of the coin at the time you initiate the purchase, and it may vary depending on the purchase amount. Usually, the larger the purchase amount, the higher the price.
Card Fee is the processing fee for every transaction that’s charged by your bank. Please check with your banking institution for more information.
Now that we understand the different elements of each purchase, let’s dive into the formulas for calculating the total amount:
Crypto Cost = ( Receive Amount + Transfer Fee ) x Rate
Card Fee = ( Receive Amount + Transfer Fee ) x Rate x Fee Rate
Total Cost = Crypto Cost + Card Fee
For example, if you purchase 0.1 BTC at a Rate of USD 30,000 / BTC, the Transfer Fee will be 0.0004, assuming your Card Fee is 0.3%.
Crypto Cost = ( 0.1 + 0.0004 ) x 30000 = 3012 USD
Card Fee = ( 0.1 + 0.0004 ) x 30000 x 0.3% = 9.036 USD
Total Cost = 3012 + 9.036 = 3021.036 USD
Since the minimum accuracy for USD is 0.01, we will round the USD 3,021.036 to USD 3,021.04. Therefore, you need to pay USD 3,021.04 USD in total to purchase 0.1 BTC from your DeFi Wallet.
Why can’t I connect my DeFi Wallet to my Crypto.com account?
In DeFi Wallet App version 1.17.1, we added a new connection restriction to ensure the security of your crypto assets and personal information. Now, you can no longer connect DeFi Wallet to a new Crypto.com App account even if you remove the previous connection. If you did not try connecting DeFi Wallet to another App account after version 1.17.1, please reach out to Customer Support.
Why haven’t I received my purchase?
Please first check the status of your order, and reach out to Customer Support if you experience one of the following issues:
Your order has been pending for more than 5 minutes
Your order has been confirmed for more than 30 minutes
Your order status is Order Incomplete. This means your request to receive your purchase in your DeFi Wallet could not be processed. You can view your purchase in your Crypto.com App account, and reach out to Customer Support for the next steps.
In some cases, your order may be slightly delayed because of the blockchain network’s condition, so please keep this in mind as well.
Where can I find my ‘Buy Crypto’ transaction history?
After connecting your DeFi Wallet to the Crypto.com App, you will be able to view your transaction history for past orders in the ‘Buy History’ section.
If you initiated orders from another wallet that was connected to your Crypto.com App account in the past, you will see the relevant transaction history whenever you successfully connect it to your Crypto.com App account.
Please be aware that the ‘Buy Crypto’ feature is provided by the Crypto.com App, which means the order transactions are carried out from your Crypto.com App account, not your DeFi Wallet.

Since the service is provided by Crypto.com, you can message us via the in-app chat feature in the Crypto.com App.
