What is One-Cancels-The-Other Order?

A One-Cancels-The-Other Order (OCO) allows users to place two orders at the same time. Users are able to place a limit order, with a stop-limit/market order, and only one will be executed on the spot/margin trading page.

When one of the above orders is executed, the other cancels automatically. This allows users to take profit, and minimize potential loss.

There are two types of OCO orders:

  • OCO Limit - the ability to place both Limit Order and Stop Limit Order

  • OCO Market - the ability to place Limit Order and Stop Market Order

How to place an OCO Order?

  1. Log on to your Crypto.com Exchange account. Then go to a spot/margin trading pair you would like to trade. Tap Stop Limit, and select OCO Limit or OCO Market.

  2. In order to place an OCO Limit or Market order, it is required to have a sufficient balance of funds or assets to support either the Limit Order (Leg 1) or the Stop Order (Leg 2). The higher amount will be locked up when the OCO order is placed.

OCO Input Fields:

Leg 1 (Limit Order)

  • Limit Price - Price of the Limit Order

Leg 2 (OCO Limit)

  • Stop - Price at which a Stop Limit Order will be triggered at the stop limit price

  • Stop Limit - Actual price of the Stop Limit Order after the stop price is hit.

OR

Leg 2 (OCO Market)

  • Stop - Price at which a Stop Market order will be triggered at market price

  1. BUY OCO Order

    1. Set Limit Price (Leg 1) to LESS than the last traded price with at least a 0.5% price buffer

    2. Set Stop (Leg 2) to GREATER than the last traded price with at least a 0.5% price buffer

    3. Set Stop Limit (Leg 2) for OCO Limit

  2. SELL OCO Order

    2. Set Stop (Leg 2) to LESS than the last traded price with at least a 0.5% price buffer

    3. Set Stop Limit (Leg 2) for OCO Limit

  • If all requirements are filled, tap Buy/Sell

  • The open OCO order can be found in the Open order

How to cancel an OCO Order?

  1. If there is an existing order, you can tap “Cancel” and both the OCO orders (with the same OCO ID) will be canceled
