What are Time-Weighted Average Price (TWAP) Bots?

TWAP stands for Time-Weighted Average Price. It is a pricing algorithm used to calculate the average price of an asset over a set period.

TWAP is a trading strategy used to execute a large-volume order by splitting it up into equal parts across a fixed interval in order to minimise slippage and signalling and to ensure the order is completed.

How do I create a TWAP Bot?

  1. In the Trading Bots page, tap Create a Bot on a token you would like to use the TWAP Bot on.

2. Fill out the following parameters:

a. Trading Pair

b. Side - Buy/Sell

c. Order Type - Limit/Market

i. If you are making a Limit Order, enter your Limit Price

d. Quantity - The amount you would like to buy/sell in its base currency

e. Duration - How long you want the bot to run for

f. Start Time - Select a time that you would like the Bot to start buying/selling

3. Tap Proceed and the TWAP Bot will be finalised. You will receive a confirmation prompt for your new TWAP Bot. Additionally, you can name your TWAP Bot if you would like to.

4. Read the Trading Bots T&Cs. Confirm that you have read and agree to the T&Cs after reviewing them.

5. You have successfully created a TWAP Bot. You may view its full details under Dashboard > My Bots > TWAP Bot.

How do I view my TWAP Trading Bots?

  1. To view all your trading bots, navigate to your Dashboard. Here, you will see a snapshot of your active trading bots.

  2. To view your TWAP Trading Bot(s) specifically, navigate to Bots > TWAP Bots. There is also an option to filter Trading Bots that are Active, Paused, or Ended.

3. If there is a TWAP Bot that you would like to view in greater detail, simply click the bot’s row. Here, you will be able to see the bot’s full transaction history.

How do I edit an existing TWAP Trading Bot?

You have the option to edit your TWAP Bot’s name. But to change the bot’s parameters, please terminate the existing one and create a new TWAP Bot. This is because a TWAP Bot is generally active for a very short period of time.

  1. In your Dashboard, navigate to My Bots > TWAP Bot

  2. Select a Trading Bot that is currently active

  3. Click Actions > Edit Bot

  4. A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to change your TWAP Bot’s name

  5. Once you’ve entered a name, click Proceed. You will see a summary of your edit. After your review, click Confirm.

Can I terminate my TWAP Bot before the End Date is reached?

Yes, you can terminate your TWAP Bot before its End Date. Follow the steps below to do so:

  1. In your Dashboard, navigate to My Bots > TWAP Bot

  2. Select a Trading Bot that is currently active

  3. Click Actions > End Bot

  4. A confirmation prompt will appear with the selected TWAP Bot’s details. All coins bought/sold will retain their balance in your Wallet.

  5. After reviewing the details, click End Bot

Does the TWAP Bot have any fees or charges?

There are no additional fees or charges for using the TWAP Bot.

The fees incurred are the same as if you were to place a Limit Order in the Spot Trading page.
