How to Perform a Satoshi Test

How to perform a Satoshi Test

Please note that this section applies to users residing in Singapore and European Union.

In accordance with the Travel Rule, we are required to verify the ownership of non-custodial wallets for users in certain jurisdictions. Verification requirements depend on your residency and your transaction volume:

  • Singapore Users: You are required to verify ownership of your non-custodial wallet if your monthly withdrawals to the wallet exceed S$20,000.

  • EU Users: You are required to verify ownership of your non-custodial wallet if your cumulative transactions to the wallet exceed €1,000.

This is done via Satoshi Test, which is a one-time verification process that confirms you control the receiving wallet address.

  1. Tap Satoshi Test to whitelist the wallet address.

  2. Follow the steps in the app

    1. Send crypto from the wallet address you're verifying

    2. Send crypto to the address specified in the test

    3. Transfer the exact amount specified in the test

    4. Complete the test within 90 minutes

If the test expires or is incomplete, you will have the option to retake it again.

  • Once the Satoshi Test is completed successfully, the wallet address will be verified.

  • Each wallet address only needs to be verified once.

  • Once verified, you can resubmit your withdrawal request.
