How do I add my Crypto.com Prepaid Card to Apple Pay?

From the Apple Wallet app:

1. Go to your Apple Wallet app

2. Select Add Card

3. Select Debit or Credit Card

4. Add your Crypto.com Card

5. Input your card details

6. Input your card details

7. Read and accept the terms and conditions

8. Your card is added

From the Crypto.com App

Go to Card from the bottom navigation and tap Add to Apple Wallet

How do I add my Crypto.com Prepaid Card to Google Pay?

From the Google Pay app:

1. Open the Google Pay app and select Payment Card

2. Scan your card or input the details manually

3. Confirm the card details and tap Continue

4. Read and accept the terms and conditions

5. Request SMS one-time password (OTP) and verify

6. Your card is added

From the Crypto.com App

Go to Card from the bottom navigation and tap Add to Google Pay

What if I did not receive my SMS OTP?

If you did not receive an SMS one-time password (OTP), please follow these steps:

  1. Call the hotline shown on the back of your Crypto.com Prepaid Card:

    • Australia: +61 2 7908 5798

  2. A live agent will assist you with your digital wallet registration

  3. The agent will ask you to answer a brief series of questions to verify your identity as the cardholder

  4. Once your identity is confirmed, the agent will escalate your request to a customer service specialist for further assistance

  5. The agent will inform you that the verification process is complete, and you may terminate the call

  6. A confirmation SMS will be sent to your registered phone number within 48 hours

  7. If you do not receive the SMS, please contact our support team via the in-app chat

Can I add my card again after I have removed it from Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay?

Yes, you can add your card again to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

Do I need to add my card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay again if my card has been reissued, replaced, or upgraded?

Yes, you will need to add your card again to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay.

What if my physical card is lost or stolen?

You can block your card immediately in the Crypto.com App. Please contact us via the in-app chat to request a replacement.

I have blocked or frozen my card. Can I still use it on Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay?

No. Once your card is blocked or frozen, it cannot be used on Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay. Please note that it may take up to 10 minutes for the change to take effect.

Will I see Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay transactions in the Crypto.com App?

Yes, your latest transactions made through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay will be shown in the app.

Will I get a notification in the Crypto.com App for declined transactions?

Yes, you will receive notifications for both declined and successful transactions.

Apple Pay FAQ

Can I add my Crypto.com Prepaid Card to my Apple Watch?

You can add a new debit or credit card, or a card you have previously used on another device associated with your Apple ID, directly on your Apple Watch. You can also add a card using the Apple Watch app on your paired iPhone.

Add a card directly on your Apple Watch:

  1. On your Apple Watch, open the Wallet app

  2. Scroll down and tap Add Card

  3. Tap Debit or Credit Card to add a new card, or tap Previous Card to choose a card previously added to the Wallet app

  4. Tap Continue

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to enter your card information and add your card

  6. If necessary, verify your information with your bank or card issuer using the Apple Watch app on your paired iPhone. They may ask you to provide additional information or download an app before approving your card for Apple Pay.

Add a card using the Apple Watch app on your iPhone:

  1. On your paired iPhone, open the Apple Watch app

  2. In the My Watch tab, tap Wallet & Apple Pay

  3. Tap Add Card

  4. Tap Debit or Credit Card to add a new card, or tap Previous Card to choose a card previously added to the Wallet app

  5. Tap Continue

  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to add your card

  7. If necessary, verify your information with your bank or card issuer. They may require additional information or ask you to download an app before approval.

Note: Apple Watches managed with Family Setup may not be able to add cards directly on the Apple Watch.

What does ‘Card Not Added. Contact your issuer’ mean?

This error typically means your card is either closed or you have entered an incorrect CVV or expiry date.

How many cards can I add to a single Apple device?

You can add up to 16 cards to a single Apple device, depending on your device model.

On how many devices can I provision a card?

You can provision a card on up to 99 devices.

Does removing a card from my iPhone affect the card on my Apple Watch when paired to the same phone?

No, the devices are treated separately. Removing a card from your iPhone will not affect the card on your paired Apple Watch.

I made a transaction in a store that was declined, but I saw it was ‘Done’ on my phone. Did the transaction go through?

The tick mark with a Done message on your iPhone will appear regardless of whether the transaction was successful or declined. Please check your card transaction history in the Crypto.com App to confirm if the transaction was completed.

Does unpairing an Apple Watch from an iPhone remove the card from the Apple Watch?

Yes, the card will be removed from your Apple Watch if it is unpaired from the iPhone.

What if I lose my Apple device?

Your device’s Wallet remains secured with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. You can:

  • Remotely lock, locate, and track your device using Find My iPhone

  • Log into your Apple ID remotely to remove all cards from Apple Pay

  • Contact Crypto.com via chat.crypto.com or the in-app chat to suspend your card

What if I find my lost Apple device?

Contact chat.crypto.com to remove the suspension from your card. You can resume using your card on Apple Pay once the suspension is lifted.

Are there any limits or restrictions on Apple Pay purchases?

How can I return or get a refund for items purchased using Apple Pay?

When you make a purchase in a retail store using Apple Pay, the store receipt will display the last four digits of your device account number instead of your actual card number.

If you need to return an item, the retailer will use the device account number to process your return or refund. Here’s how to find your device account number:

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app

  2. Select Wallet & Apple Pay

  3. Tap the card that was used for the purchase

  4. Scroll to Device Account Number

On Apple Watch:

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone

  2. Go to the My Watch tab and select Wallet & Apple Pay

  3. Tap the card that was used for the purchase

  4. Scroll to Device Account Number

When the retailer processes the refund, you may need to present your device:

  • For iPhone: Hold your device near the payment terminal and authorize the refund.

  • For Apple Watch: Double-click the side button and hold your Apple Watch near the payment terminal.

How do I turn off notifications?

  1. Log in to Apple Pay and select your Crypto.com Card

  2. Tap (...) in the top-right corner

  3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen

  4. Toggle off the button next to Allow Notifications

Google Pay FAQ

What if I lose my Android device?

Use Android Device Manager to help you find, lock, or erase your phone. You can also search ‘Find my phone’ in Google, and your phone’s location will appear on a map. Then, contact us at chat.crypto.com to suspend your card.

What if I find my lost Android device?

Contact us at chat.crypto.com to remove the suspension from your card. You can resume using your card on Google Pay once the suspension is lifted.

I'm receiving the error message, ‘Double check your card details’ or ‘Your card couldn't be added’. What does this mean?

This error usually means your card is either closed or you have entered an incorrect CVV or expiry date.

How can I return or get a refund for items purchased using Google Pay?

  1. Bring the receipt and the item to the store.

  2. If the merchant asks you to swipe your card, hold the back of your phone to the contactless payment terminal. The merchant will inform you when to expect your refund.

For some returns, you may need to provide the last 4 digits of your virtual account number. You can find your virtual account number on the card details screen in your Google Pay app (this is not the same as your virtual card number).

How can I turn off notifications?

  1. In the Google Pay app, tap (...) in the top-right corner of the screen

  2. Go to Settings > Notifications

  3. Toggle off the button next to Purchases
