What is an Accredited Investor?

An Accredited Investor refers to an individual who has verified that they have:

  1. A minimum income of US$230,000 or above in the last 12 months (or its equivalent in another currency), or

  2. Net Financial Assets exceeding US$750,000 (or its equivalent in another currency, excluding digital assets)

What features are available to Accredited Investors?

Accredited Investors can access On-Chain Staking, Liquid Staking, and DeFi Staking on the Crypto.com Exchange.*

*Crypto.com reserves the right to determine the availability of features for Accredited Investors at its sole discretion.

How do I get verified as an Accredited Investor?

The verification process is only available on the Crypto.com Exchange Web. Follow these steps to get verified as an Accredited Investor:

  1. From the Crypto.com Exchange Web home page, go to the profile icon at the top-right corner of the site. Click on your profile.

  2. Go to Settings > Account

  3. Click Apply Now to verify your details, which brings you to an in-app chat

  4. Upload the relevant documents. Only PNG, JPEG, and JPG file formats of up to 20MB are accepted. Please contact us at chat.crypto.com if you encounter issues.

  5. Once submitted, the verification process will take a few days to complete. You will be notified of your eligibility for Accredited Investor status via email once your application is approved.

What are the effects of being treated as an Accredited Investor?

By choosing to be treated as an Accredited Investor, you may receive fewer legal and regulatory safeguards compared to retail customers, as Accredited Investors are generally presumed to have sufficient knowledge or experience, either on their own or through professional advisors, to understand investment risks and protect their interests.
