What is Limit Order?
Limit Order is a trading feature in the Crypto.com App that allows you to set a specific price at which you want to buy or sell cryptocurrency.
Instead of buying or selling instantly at the current market price, you choose your preferred price, and your order will only be filled if the market reaches that price.
Limit Buy Order: Use this to purchase a cryptocurrency only when its price drops to your target level
Limit Sell Order: Use this to sell a cryptocurrency only when its price rises to your target level
This feature helps you trade at your desired prices without needing to constantly watch the market.
Limit Orders are a useful tool for taking control of your buying and selling strategies, especially if you want to automate your trades or avoid reacting to rapid price changes.

Can I edit a Limit Order?
No, you cannot edit a Limit Order after it has been placed.
However, if your order has not been filled yet, you can cancel it and submit a new order with your updated preferences. See the ‘Can I cancel a Limit Order?’ section for details.
Can I cancel a Limit Order?
Yes, you can cancel open Limit Orders before they are filled. Here’s how:
Tap Limit Order from the main menu
Under the Open Orders tab, select the order you wish to cancel
Tap Cancel button
If your order has already been executed (filled) or the status is Processing, cancellation is no longer possible.
Do Limit Orders expire?
There is no expiry date for most limit orders. Your order will remain Open until it reaches the specified price and is executed.
However, if you pay by credit or debit card, the order will expire after 30 days from the date of placement if it is not executed.
How do I check my order status?
Follow these steps to check the status of your Limit Orders:
Tap Limit Order from the main menu
Under Open Orders, you’ll see the statuses of your Open, Processing, and Incomplete orders
Under Order History, you’ll see the statuses of your Filled, Cancelled, and Expired orders
Order status meanings:
Open | Your order is placed and waiting to be filled. |
Processing | Your order is being processed and cannot be cancelled. |
Incomplete | There was an issue placing your order. Please try again or cancel it. |
Filled | Your order has been executed. |
Cancelled | Your order was cancelled and you will not be charged. |
Expired | Your order has expired and you will not be charged. |
When will my Limit Order be executed?
Your Limit Order will be executed when the market price reaches your specified price, depending on market liquidity.
If the market price does not reach your specified price, your order will remain Open, which means:
For a Limit Buy Order: The market price has not dropped to or matched your specified purchase price
For a Limit Sell Order: The market price has not risen to or matched your specified sale price
How are payments for Limit Orders charged?
When you place a Limit Order:
For Limit Buy Orders: After you place an order, the required funding amount will be locked
For Limit Sell Orders: After you place an order, the respective crypto asset you wish to sell will be locked
These funds or crypto assets cannot be used elsewhere in the Crypto.com App while your order status is Open or Processing. You will not be able to withdraw or transfer them unless you cancel your Limit Order.
Additional Notes:
Limit Orders are only executed in full. Partial fills are not supported.
All relevant funding amounts or crypto assets are locked when the order is placed and will remain unavailable until the order is executed or cancelled.
Limit Orders placed with a credit or debit card are valid for 30 days. If not executed within that period, the order will be automatically cancelled and the locked credit released.
Any interest or fees charged by third parties in relation to your Limit Orders are your responsibility.
Credit/debit card promotions for Spot trading (such as a 7-day fee waiver) apply to Limit Orders placed using a credit or debit card.
