What is a One-Time Card?

The One-Time Card is a virtual, crypto-powered payment option you can use to shop at hundreds of top online retailers. Every time you create a One-Time Card, you’ll receive a unique number to input at checkout.

One-Time Cards are linked to the funds in your Crypto Wallet in the Crypto.com App. The feature is free to use, and you can get up to 10% CRO back on every eligible purchase with Crypto.com Pay.

Who is eligible to use the One-Time Card?

The One-Time Card feature is currently available to US Crypto.com App users only.

How do I create and use the One-Time Card?

It only takes a few steps to create a One-Time Card in the Crypto.com App:

  1. From the Menu on the Home screen, tap Pay.

  2. Browse the retailers that feature a ‘Card’ icon below their logo and select one. You’ll be redirected to its online shop.

  3. Start shopping! When you’re ready to check out, tap the One-Time Card button at the bottom of the screen.

  4. Enter the total amount of the purchase, including shipping costs and tax.

  5. Choose the cryptocurrency you want to pay with.

  6. Review and confirm the details to generate your One-Time Card.

  7. On the checkout screen, choose to pay with a card. Enter the provided One-Time Card number, expiry Date, and CVV code to complete the purchase.

If you end up spending less than the amount of your One-Time Card, you’ll be issued a refund of the remaining amount. The refund will be issued in USDC to your Crypto Wallet. For more details, see ‘How do I close a One-Time Card and get a refund?’.

Where can I use the One-Time Card?

There are hundreds of participating retailers for the One-Time Card feature, including Apple, Walmart, and Target. We are periodically updating this list, so be sure to check back regularly.

To discover all the brands, go to the Pay screen and look for the retailers with a ‘Card’ icon below its logo.

What happens if my purchase amount differs from the amount linked to my One-Time Card?

If the purchase amount is higher than your One-Time Card, you must cancel the One-Time Card and create a new one with the correct purchase amount.

If the purchase amount is lower than the amount linked to your One-Time Card, then you can either:

  • Wait to be refunded the remaining amount after the One-time Card closes, or

  • Request an earlier refund by going to One-Time Card on the Pay screen, selecting the individual One-time Card, and tapping the Refund Remaining Balance button. For more details, see ‘How do I close a One-Time Card and get a refund?’.

Why was my One-Time Card purchase declined?

There are a few possible reasons why your One-Time Card was declined:

  • Your One-Time Card can only be used at the retailer it was created for.

  • One-Time Cards can only be used once and are not meant for multiple purchases and/or recurring purchases, such as subscriptions.

  • The amount linked to your One-Time Card must be sufficient to cover the entire purchase amount.

  • One-Time Cards close automatically 14 days after they’re created, so make sure it is still active.

  • The One-Time Card feature only supports USD transactions.

  • One-Time Cards cannot be added to Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal, etc. Please choose ‘Credit/Debit Card’ as the payment method at checkout.

We also reserve the right to restrict any retailer and/or decline, cancel or reverse transactions at certain retailers without prior notice and without liability to you.
