How do I import my wallet by using its recovery phrase?

If you have a cryptocurrency wallet in the Crypto.com Onchain app, MetaMask, or any other non-custodial platform, you can import it to the Wallet Extension by entering its recovery phrase. Here’s how:

1. If you’re launching the Wallet Extension for the first time, select I already have a wallet. If you’re already using the Wallet Extension, click the hamburger icon at the top-left corner of the homepage and select Import Wallet.

2. Click Recovery Phrase on the ‘Select Import Method’ page

3. Enter your wallet’s 12/18/24-word recovery phrase and click Proceed when you’re ready. Please ensure that you’re entering the phrase in its correct order.

4. Create a password for your wallet and confirm it. Then, click Proceed to finish importing your wallet.

How many accounts can I import per recovery phrase?

A single recovery phrase can be tied to multiple cryptocurrency wallets, also known as accounts. Each wallet has its own unique account index number, starting from ‘0’. In the Wallet Extension, you can import as many accounts as you have in a single recovery phrase. However, please note that each one has to be imported separately.

Here’s how you can select a specific account to import:

Click the ‘edit’ icon in the ‘Account Index’ section to specify which wallet you’re importing.

4. On the ‘Account Index’ page, enter the account index number of the wallet that you wish to import. Click Continue when you’re ready to proceed.

5. Create a password for your wallet and confirm it. Then, click Proceed to finish importing your wallet. Repeat this process from step 1 if you wish to import another wallet that uses the same recovery phrase.
