Starting May 19, 2026, Crypto.com Visa Signature® Credit Card holders will gain the flexibility to choose to receive their spending rewards in either Bitcoin (BTC) or Cronos (CRO). This choice lets you decide exactly how you want to grow your crypto portfolio.
How much BTC can I earn?
The reward rate is determined by your Level Up plan:

Basic | 1.5% | 1.5% On the first $250 spent every month. 1.0% thereafter. |
Plus | 3.5% | 3.5% On the first $500 spent every month. 2.0% thereafter. |
Pro | 4.5% | 4.5% On the first $1,000 spent every month. 2.0% thereafter. |
Private Icy | 5.0% | 5.0% On the first $5,000 spent every month. 2.0% thereafter. |
Obsidian and Prime | 6.0% | 6.0% On the first $10,000 spent every month. 2.0% thereafter. |
Can I switch between earning BTC and CRO?
Yes, you can switch between earning BTC and CRO as often as you like.
After I select a new reward token, when will it go into effect?
If it is your first time making a selection, it goes into effect immediately.
For any subsequent changes, the latest selection will begin on the first day of the following month. For example:
You are currently earning CRO
You switch to earning BTC on Jun 15
You decide to switch back to CRO on Jun 25
You will continue to earn CRO from July 1
To ensure your change takes effect for the next month, make your selection before 20:00 UTC on the last day of the current month. If made after that time, it will apply to the month after next.
How do I switch my reward token between BTC and CRO?
Follow these steps to switch your reward token:
From the Crypto.com App home screen, tap Card from the bottom navigation
Tap Rewards in > Reward token
Select your reward token and tap the Update reward token button
How do I track my rewards?
Follow these steps to track your earnings:
From the Crypto.com App home screen, tap Card from the bottom navigation
Tap Rewards in > Reward token
What happens if a transaction is refunded?
If a transaction is reversed or refunded, the reward will be clawed back in the same token you originally received.
For example, you earned CRO for a purchase in June that was refunded, but switched your reward token to BTC in July. Your reward will be clawed back in CRO.
Why am I still receiving some rewards in CRO even though I selected BTC?
While your everyday spending rewards will switch to BTC, certain benefits are always paid in CRO. This includes Welcome Bonuses and Level Up rebates for services like Spotify, Netflix, or Truth+.
