Information about CAD withdrawals - sell crypto to fiat, submit withdrawal and common issues

Updated over 5 months ago

Crypto.com users can withdraw fiat from the app by selling crypto to their CAD wallet and transferring CAD funds from this wallet to their bank account(s).

Consistent with applicable regulations, users are required to have at least one successful CAD deposit to the Crypto.com App before we can transfer CAD funds back to the same bank account.

How to sell Crypto to Fiat?

  1. Open the Crypto.com app

  2. Tap on "Accounts"

  3. Select "Fiat Wallet"

  4. Select "Sell Crypto"

  5. Select the cryptocurrency you'd like to convert to Fiat.

  6. Select the 'Cash' option.

  7. On the "Sell Cryptocurrency" screen, you can enter the amount you wish to convert. (If you tap on the field where you enter the amount, the app will suggest the maximum amount you can sell.)

  8. You will see a confirmation window showing the actual current value of the coin in fiat money for 15 seconds. Please pay attention to that window as it shows the amount of fiat money you are getting for the coin at that time.

How to withdraw CAD?

  1. In the Crypto.com App home screen, tap on the ≡ Menu button > Fiat Wallet or tap Accounts > Fiat Wallet. Tap Transfer > Withdraw > CAD

  2. Browse through the withdrawal process and then tap on “Withdraw Now”

  3. Choose your withdrawal email. Note: At least one successful deposit is required before being able to withdraw CAD

How to find the question and answer if the withdrawal is a Q/A transfer?

You can view the question and answer from the transaction details screen by tapping on the withdrawal transaction log in the CAD Fiat Wallet screen. Alternatively, we will send you an email with the question and answer details for you to be able to claim the withdrawal in your banking app / portal. The answer is your unique Crypto.com Identification Number that can be obtained from your deposit details as well.

How long does it take to see the withdrawal funds in my bank account?

  • All withdrawal requests are subject to an internal review which could take up to 1-3 business days. We will notify you via email and push notifications once the withdrawal is processed

  • Once the internal review is completed, we use the Interac Standard Transfer network as the default channel for transferring funds back to your bank account. Most transfers go through instantly, but it can take up to 30 mins for Interac to process the transfer
