How do I reset my 2FA?
If you wish to reset your 2FA, please follow the steps below:
Go to Settings from the main menu and tap Security > 2-Factor Authentication
Tap the Reset 2FA button at the bottom of the screen
Confirm whether you still have access to your existing 2FA credentials
If you still have access to your 2FA credentials, then you can proceed to enter your passcode and the 2FA code, and complete the following steps:
Go to your authenticator app and create a new account for the Crypto.com App*.
Scan the displayed code using your authenticator app, or copy and paste it manually
If you do not have access to your 2FA credentials, you will be required to provide your passcode, complete identity verification, or contact us directly. Once verified, you can proceed to set up your 2FA by following steps 4(a) and 4(b) above.
Important: To protect your account, please remove the previous authentication key from your authenticator app and re-enable 2FA immediately once your 2FA has been reset.
If you received a message requiring you to reset your 2FA, please follow the instructions below:
Go to your authenticator app and create a new account for the Crypto.com App
In the Crypto.com App, go to Settings from the main menu and tap Security > 2-Factor Authentication
Toggle on Enable 2FA
Scan the displayed code using your authenticator app, or copy and paste it manually
In the event that you are unable to reset your 2FA in the Crypto.com App, please reach out to us at [email protected].
Important: Resetting 2FA for your Crypto.com App account will impact the 2FA settings for your Crypto.com Exchange account, if applicable. Upon resetting 2FA for the App, please set up 2FA for your Exchange account again by following this guide.
