How do I stop all trading immediately?

If you need to halt all OpenClaw trading right away, you can use the “kill switch” by:

  • Command: “Stop all trading” in OpenClaw. No confirmation is required.

  • From the Main Menu: Tap More > Agent Key > Delete key

After using the “kill switch”:

  • Your API key will be disabled

  • Pending orders will be canceled

  • No further trades can be made

Trades that are already being processed at the moment you trigger the “kill switch” will still be executed. Previously executed trades will not be reversed.

To resume trading after using the “kill switch,” you must generate a new API key from the Crypto.com App.

What is the difference between the “kill switch” and regenerating my API key?

Use Case

When you suspect your account has been compromised

When you want to refresh your key for rotation or reconfiguration

Can OpenClaw withdraw my funds?

No. The API key never grants withdrawal or transfer permissions. OpenClaw can only execute trades and read your balance, portfolio, and market data.

What should I do if I think my API key has been compromised?

Follow these steps if you think your API key has been compromised:

  1. Immediately send “stop all trading” to your OpenClaw or tap Delete key in your Agent Key hub

  2. Review your transaction history in the Crypto.com App

  3. Generate a new API key when you are ready to resume

Never share your API key or secret key in screenshots, chat messages, or public forums. Crypto.com will never ask for your API key or secret key via email, chat, or phone.
