How do I view my API key?
Once your API key is generated, you can view its details at any time:
From the main menu, tap More > Agent Key
Your API key is masked, showing only the last five characters
To see the entire key, long-press the View button
Tap the ‘copy’ icon to copy the full API key
For your protection, the secret key is not shown on this screen. It was only displayed once during the initial setup. If you have lost your secret key, you will need to delete the current pair and generate a new one.
How do I change my API key settings?
You can update your agent’s permissions and limits at any time. To get started, navigate to the Agent Key screen from the main menu and tap the 'edit' icon next to your key details.
You can adjust the following settings:
Expiry Date: Choose a new duration for how long the key remains active
API Permissions: Toggle Execute trades or Access market data & insights on or off. Note that Access portfolio balance is always enabled to allow the agent to function.
Weekly Trading Budget: Drag the slider to adjust your maximum weekly volume between $1,000 and $20,000 USD
After updating your settings, tap Save changes and complete the security verification to finalize the update.
How do I regenerate my API key?
Follow these steps to regenerate your key pair:
From the main menu, tap More > Agent Key
Tap Generate new key
Confirm that you want to invalidate the old key
You will need to update your OpenClaw configuration with the new key. The old key is invalidated immediately, and all connected bots will be disconnected.
Your pending orders are preserved when you regenerate. The new key inherits the same expiration settings as the previous key.
What happens when my API key expires?
Your API key expires based on the duration you selected during setup (default is 30 days). It also auto-expires after 30 days of inactivity (no API calls).
You will receive a push notification seven (7) and one (1) day before expiry.
OpenClaw will also display a warning when you interact with it during the final seven (7) days.
Once expired, all trading via OpenClaw stops. To resume, generate a new API key from the Crypto.com App.
