How to Reset Your Crypto.com App 2FA?

Information about resetting 2-Factor Authentication (2FA) in the Crypto.com App

How do I reset my 2FA?

If you wish to reset your 2FA, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Settings from the main menu and tap Security > 2-Factor Authentication

  2. Tap the Reset 2FA button at the bottom of the screen

  3. Follow the steps below to complete verification using your passkey if it’s set up:

    1. Go to your authenticator app and create a new account for the Crypto.com App

    2. Scan the code displayed in the Crypto.com App using your authenticator app, or copy and paste it manually

  4. If you have not set up a passkey, confirm whether you still have access to your existing 2FA credentials:

    1. If you still have access to your 2FA credentials, you can proceed to enter your passcode and the 2FA code to complete verification and then follow steps 3(a) and 3(b) above to set up your 2FA

    2. If you do not have access to your 2FA credentials, you will be required to provide your passcode and complete identity verification. Once verified, you can set up your 2FA by following steps 3(a) and 3(b) above.

Important: To protect your account, please remove the previous authentication key from your authenticator app and re-enable 2FA immediately once your 2FA has been reset.

If you received a message requiring you to reset your 2FA from our Customer Support Team, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to your authenticator app and create a new account for the Crypto.com App

  2. In the Crypto.com App, go to Settings from the main menu and tap Security > 2-Factor Authentication

  3. Toggle on Enable 2FA

  4. Scan the displayed code using your authenticator app, or copy and paste it manually

If you are unable to reset your 2FA in the Crypto.com App, please reach out to us at chat.crypto.com.

Important: Resetting 2FA for your Crypto.com App account will impact the 2FA settings for your Crypto.com Exchange account, if applicable. Upon resetting 2FA for the App, please set up 2FA for your Exchange account again by following this guide.
