Each milestone unlocks a mystery box. The more you trade, the more boxes you can claim. Rewards are randomized within the displayed range for each tier.
What is a Welcome Bonus?
The Welcome Bonus is a rewards program for eligible new users of the Crypto.com App. The 2026 revamp introduces a tiered milestone system: unlock up to four mystery box rewards by reaching progressive trading volume milestones within your first 30 days.
How do I participate?
Sign up and complete KYC in the Crypto.com App.
If eligible, you are automatically enrolled.
Trade eligible tokens (excluding stablecoin pairs) to reach each milestone within 30 days of registration.
Access the Welcome Bonus via the home screen banner, Missions tab, or Supermenu.
How do the rewards and mystery boxes work?
Each time you reach a milestone, you earn a mystery box.
Rewards are randomized within the range shown above.
You must open each box to claim your reward as rewards are not credited automatically.
The trading volume is calculated based on the Gross Trading Volume, meaning the pre-trade amount before any fees are deducted.
If you reach multiple milestones in a single trade, you can open multiple boxes in sequence via the notification.
How do I claim my rewards?
When you reach a milestone, you’ll receive an in-app notification.
Tap the notification or the “Open box”/“Claim” button on the Welcome Bonus dashboard to start the unboxing flow.
Your reward is credited only after you open the box.
All claimed rewards are credited to your Crypto.com App account and shown in your transaction history.
How long do I have to complete and claim the Welcome Bonus?
You have 30 days from account registration to reach milestones and claim any earned boxes.
After 30 days, all banners except the Supermenu entry disappear.
For the next 7 days (days 31–37), you can still claim any unclaimed boxes via the Supermenu.
After 37 days, any unclaimed boxes expire and cannot be claimed.
Who is eligible for the Welcome Bonus?
All new, KYC-approved users except:
Users who signed up with a referral code
Residents/citizens of the United Kingdom, South Korea, Singapore.
Canada will retain the legacy welcome bonus rewards due to compliance requirements
The program is void where prohibited by law.
What if I reach multiple milestones in one trade?
If a single trade qualifies you for multiple milestones, you’ll receive a notification to open all earned boxes in order.
You must open each box individually; rewards are credited as you open each one.
What happens if I don’t claim my boxes?
Boxes remain “Earned (Unclaimed)” until you open them.
You can claim any earned boxes at any time during the 30-day program, and for 7 days after via the Supermenu.
Unclaimed boxes expire after the 7-day grace period.
How does A/B testing affect my Welcome Bonus experience?
Crypto.com may run A/B tests to optimize the Welcome Bonus experience.
You may see one of two versions:
Tiered Mystery Box (current version): Four milestones ($100, $500, $1,000, $5,000), each unlocking a mystery box with a randomized reward within the displayed range.
Historical Flat Milestone (legacy version): A single milestone (either $100 or $500, depending on your jurisdiction). Complete the milestone to earn a mystery box with a reward of up to 1 BTC (average reward not specified).
All users in the same group have a consistent experience for the full 30-day period.
Can I switch to a different bonus or referral program?
If you enter a referral code during signup and enroll in the referral program, you will no longer be eligible for Welcome Bonus rewards.
The referral program may offer a different (potentially higher) reward structure.
You cannot participate in both the Welcome Bonus and Referral Bonus for the same account.
Are there any costs or fees?
There are no additional costs to participate.
Where can I find the Terms & Conditions?
Special Scenarios
Expired boxes: After 37 days, unclaimed boxes are lost.
Region change: If you move to a restricted region, you lose access to the Welcome Bonus, but any already-claimed rewards remain.
Referral vs. Welcome Bonus: If you sign up with a referral code, you are not eligible for the Welcome Bonus, and is instead enrolled into the referral rewards program.
